Hundreds of caring and talented volunteers across Florida are coming together to create beautiful handmade blankets, quilts, afghans, and more in preparation for chilly days and nights throughout the winter season.
But this initiative is about more than blankets alone. It’s about compassion in action. It’s about neighbors helping neighbors and reminding vulnerable individuals and families that they are not alone.

A History of Caring for the Community
It all began in 2002 with a mission to help protect and care for the community through free flu shot events serving thousands of residents. Since then, more than 240,000 free flu shots have been provided to patients ranging in age from just 8 months old to 101 years young.
But the mission has always been about more than healthcare alone. It has been about creating hope, education, compassion, and connection within the community.
These events brought together families with free health education, fun activities, and unforgettable moments that helped make wellness feel welcoming and accessible for everyone — especially children. From dancing through schools teaching healthy habits to face painting, princess appearances, and community celebrations, every event was designed to make a positive impact.
Over the years, incredible milestones have been reached through the support of dedicated volunteers and community partners, including multiple Guinness World Records and life-saving health initiatives that helped detect serious medical conditions early for hundreds of individuals.
Most importantly, families continue returning year after year because they know they are part of a community that truly cares.
Together, we can continue bringing education, wellness, compassion, and hope to those who need it most.
